Hazardous drinking in New Zealand: Māori and non-Māori

This infographic describes hazardous drinking rates for Māori and non-Māori by sex and age-group. It highlights that hazardous drinking rates are high in Māori men and women of all ages, and shows the effect education and speaking te reo Māori has on hazardous drinking rates.

The data from this infographic comes from the New Zealand Health Survey (NZHS) 2012/13 to 2015/16. A change in methodology means that hazardous drinking results after 2015/16 can not be compared with previous years.
